SmackDown Live will be having its own Women's Title and the first champion will be determined in a Six-Pack Challenge at WWE Backlash. According to the latest rumors, Nikki Bella is currently the frontrunner in winning the SmackDown Women's Championship.

It was a not a great year for the Bella Twins, Nikki and Brie, because of several issues. Nikki feared for her career due to a neck injury while Brie had to retire due to the injury and retirement of her husband, Daniel Bryan.

However, it all started going well for the sisters since Bryan is back to WWE television as the SmackDown general manager. On the other hand, Nikki was cleared to return and she made her triumphant return at SummerSlam.

The two-time Divas champion replaced the suspended Eva Marie to team up with Natalya and Alexa Bliss to defeat Becky Lynch, Naomi and Carmella in a Six Woman Tag Team Match. She got the win for her team after hitting her new finisher on Carmella.

According to Cageside Seats, Nikki is expected to win the SmackDown's Women's championship at WWE Backlash. She will be competing against Lynch, Naomi, Carmella, Bliss and Natalya in the first ever Six-Pack Challenge involving female superstars.

It is noted that the WWE wants Nikki to become the first champion to help establish the title. The 32-year-old is one of the popular female superstars in the company due to being the main focus of "Total Divas" while having her own show "Total Bellas" later this year.

Nikki is also the longest-reigning Divas champion in history and she can really help establish the new championship. However, the report also mentioned that she will not be holding the title for a very long period.

Top WWE officials are still worried about Nikki's health and the plan is for her to be a part-time superstar, The Inquisitr reported. It is the perfect scenario for her since she will not have to defend the championship every week while also preserving her health.

The "Total Divas" star also turned babyface in the recent episode of SmackDown after getting attacked by Carmella before their match and during her appearance on Talking Smack. She received a huge pop for her SummerSlam return that prompted the WWE to turn her face.
