As Apple has been doing since several years, it will be unleashing new iPhones in September. However, fresh reports suggest that the iPhone 7 release date has delayed.

One of the biggest rumors that have surfaced ahead of the iPhone 7 release date is that the upcoming iPhone will be launched with iPhone 6SE moniker, GSM Arena reported. Even though the iPhone 7/6SE is expected to come with new features, market analysts believe that the smartphone will not come with overhaul improvements.

However, what's surprising is that that the month of August is coming to an end and there is no invitation from the Cupertino company on the iPhone 7/6SE launch event. Nikkei predicts that Apple is encountering production issues and that has led to supply chain shortages.

It means if the Cupertino company is aiming to follow the same launch schedule as it did in 2015, it may so happen that it may not have sufficient stock at the start. Another analyst, Jeff Pu from Yuanta Investment Consulting is of the view that in this year Apple will be manufacturing around 10 million fewer iPhone 7 devices than 2015's iPhone 6S.

Evan Blass, the well-known leakster, has stated that the iPhone 7 release date will be Sept. 16. Other reports state that the carrier partners of Apple will start selling the iPhone 7 from Sept. 23.

iPhone 7, 7 Plus Specs, Features

As far as the specifications of the iPhone 7 is concerned, it is expected to come with a 4.7-inch screen. The iPhone 7 Plus will continue to sport 5.5-inch screen. Both the smartphones will be running on iOS 10.

As compared to the design of the predecessor model, the iPhone 7 will be coming with redesigned antenna bands and there will be a protective ring for the rear-facing camera. Instead of the regular 3.5 mm audio jack, both the phones are pegged to support headphones connectivity through the Lightning port.

Both the phones will come in the lowest storage configuration model of 32 GB. Other storage versions of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are speculated as 128 GB and 256 GB. Both the devices will be powered by Apple A10 chipset. The iPhone 7 Plus is rumored to feature 3 GB of RAM and dual-camera setup on its rear side.

Apple will be celebrating tenth anniversary of iPhone in 2017. Hence, rumors are rife that the 2017 iPhone will be coming with iPhone 7 moniker.
