Recently, Apatow announced that it would product in the third film of the franchise, in which Reubens would produce and star in this film. Apatow revealed that working with Reubens on a film is a dream come true.  This statements were indicated in the recent post of IGN.

"As a fan of Pee-wee Herman since he first appeared on The Dating Game, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the brilliant Paul Reubens on this film." ET Online indicated this statement a post on Feb. 24.

Finally, Pee-wee Herman planned his comeback. Almost three decades after this man-boy hit the big screen in Pee-wee's Big Adventure by Tim Burton, the well-loved franchise and kiddie TV show, Pee-wee's Playhouse landed another a new star director for the newest Netflix film. This franchise has received 22 Emmy Awards overs its 5-season run.

Herman said that he and Apatow "dreamt up this movie four years ago. The world was much different back then.

"Netflix was waiting by the mailbox for red envelopes to arrive. I've changed all that. The future is here. Get used to it," Herman added. He has also introduced a new tagline for his film, and he still added "Bow-tie is the new black."

Apatow could not be the ultimate A-lister to take a big leap to Netflix. These also include David Fincher, the Oscar-winning director, who was behind the binge-watch-worthy "House of Cards" TV series; and Adam Sandler who signed on to produce and star in four Netflix films.
