Avid fans may recall that Cyrus made her TV debut in the said Disney series. The singer and songwriter portrayed a young girl who led two lives namely the ordinary teen Miley and famous pop princess Hannah. The show aired from 2006 until 2011 and became a huge hit among young girls. However, Cyrus has gone through several transformations over the past few years where some of her fashion choices and actions became more risqué and at times wild.

Although for the new Amazon series, the former Disney star appears to have channeled her inner Hannah Montana. Cyrus portrays a young hippie lady who will meet a couple living in the suburbs. Her character will try to share her beliefs and thoughts to the said couple in an attempt to influence their personal ideals. The series is set during the turbulent period of the 1960s.

The said project also marks the first time that Allen has embarked on a TV series. In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the veteran actor and filmmaker recounted the first time that he met Cyrus. He shared that his children were avid viewers of the singer's former Disney series.

He mentioned that he already took notice of the then young singer's acting potential. "She's got such a good delivery," he stated, referring to how Cyrus delivered her lines in the Disney show. Allen's initial assessment was then confirmed when he saw her "Saturday Night Live" performance. He even described the musician as a talented artist.

Fans can see more of Cyrus in the upcoming series "Crisis in Six Scenes" to premiere on Sept. 30 on Amazon Prime Video.
