Paige is currently serving a 30-day suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy for the first time in her career. However, the latest rumors imply that Paige might be done with the company after getting threatened to be fired.
The 24-year-old was suspended on her birthday along with her real-life boyfriend Alberto Del Rio, who is out of the company. The WWE does not want her to be with Del Rio that is why they were separated at the WWE Draft.
According to All Wrestling News, Paige might be gone from the WWE just like his "Papi." It is noted that the odd relationship she has got her into trouble with the company's top officials. Mark Carrano of talent relations probably threatened to fire her indirectly.
The two-time Divas champion has a deal with the WWE until 2019 and it would be a waste to just let someone with great potential gets released. However, Dave Meltzer mentioned on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required) that the company will try to get a solution done.
"If she is done, they're probably trying to maneuver to where she can be released and she can work because she is under contract to WWE for a long time," Meltzer said.
Many wrestling fans are hoping that Paige will get back to her senses since she has all the potential to become one of the greatest women's wrestlers of all-time. She is only 24 years old but she has already won the Divas championship twice.
The WWE needs more star power in its women's division on Monday Night Raw with Sasha Banks, Bayley, Charlotte and Dana Brooke taking too much TV time every week. The fans will likely sour on the four since they are getting overexposed.
If Paige is not finished with the WWE, she is eligible to return from her suspension on September 17. She is also rumored to be having issues with her back and neck that could keep her out of action. Nevertheless, she is a valuable asset for the company and it would be foolish to let her go.
