The latest details on "Stranger Things" season 2 will feature new characters, episode titles and the status of Eleven's possible return to the series.
The hit Netflix series, "Stranger Things" has been renewed for season 2 as the show will return sometime in 2017. TV series directors and writers Matt and Ross Duffer shared new insights on what is going to happen on season 2 now that Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) has been rescued from the other dimension, but there are still certain things that are left unanswered in the show.
For starters, the Duffer brothers will be introduce three new characters for "Stranger Things" season 2 as they are looking to cast several actors to play the roles of Max, Roman and Billy, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
According to the character description, Max will be a tough and confident 13-year-old female whose appearance, behavior and pursuits are more typical of boys than of girls. Max will be seen riding a skateboard instead of the typical bikes the boys ride on the show. She also has a very complicated relationship with her step-brother Billy and is very protective of her past, which led her to having trust issues and suspicious to everyone around her.
Billy is described 17-year-old boy who is muscularly build and very overconfident. He has a captivating and edgy personality and there are rumors that he killed someone at a school he attended in the past. Billy steals peoples' girlfriends, loves to drink and drives black Camaro. He also has a violent and unpredictable nature that shows itself to those closest to him, especially to ones who are younger than him.
Lastly, Roman will be a male or a female of any ethnicity between the ages of 30 and 38. Roman grew up homeless with a drug-addicted mother, and he/she suffered a great loss at an early age, which drives him/her to get revenge. Roman is ultimately an outsider who does not understand how to connect with people.
Meanwhile, "Stranger Things" season 2 will feature nine episodes instead of eight and the showrunner revealed the titles of each episode.
These titles are “Madmax”, “The Boy Who Came Back To Life”, “The Pumpkin Patch”, “The Palace”, “The Storm”, “The Pollywog”, “The Secret Cabin”, “The Brain” and “The Lost Brother”.
Lastly, the Duffer brothers shared their opinions on whether Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown) will return in season 2. Ross told Entertainment Weekly that Eleven's fate in the show is still "up in the air", which led to the speculation that there are still no plans for her return as of now.
Still, the Duffer brothers that "Stranger Things" season 2 will feature more places in the Upside Down world, which will answer a lot of questions from the monsters inhabiting the world, Eleven's possible appearance to Will being drawn back to that world.
"Stranger Things 2" will premiere sometime in 2017 on Netflix.
