The much-awaited book, "The Winds of Winter" from author George R.R Martin might hit the bookshelves soon. It is being speculated that the long wait will finally come to an end. The sixth installment's placeholder has become a hot topic of discussion. According to the Express, the book would be released on March 9, 2017. The release news has created great excitement among fans.

However, it has been noticed that a fair number of people are actually not buying the claims given by Amazon France. This is because other major Amazon sites, which belong to the UK, US as well as Germany, have not yet posted any such placeholder on their site.

The fact which made the fans question the claim is that Amazon is well known to create pages for approaching books, even before the release dates of such books have been announced. Hence, many fans feel that they have made an announcement by mistake.

Notably, some days back, a controversy regarding the book getting released soon had also flared up. A Reddit user had disclosed that the Penguin publisher has added a new ISBN number at the ISBN office. Not only this, but it was also contemplated that the sixth, as well as the seventh installment, would be released at the same time in March 2017.

No update has come from Martin's side so far. He did not make any announcement through his blog and neither did his representative reveal anything regarding the book. The only thing he has said till now is that he is putting his extreme efforts to complete the much-awaited edition. Even though the book is delayed for a long time, yet the readers love Martin's fantasy and is ready to wait, in order to get the remarkable masterpiece.

Meanwhile, Martin's publishers have claimed that the rumors are not true and no release date leak has taken place so far, The Independent reported.

The following video talks about the possibility of having a character in the "The Winds of Winter," which is already dead in the television adaptation of the previous books, the "Game of Thrones:"
