The Cruiserweight Classic has been a success for the WWE and the division is coming to Monday Night Raw in two weeks. However, the latest rumors suggest that SmackDown Live is also getting its own cruiserweight division.

Commissioner Stephanie McMahon first announced that the cruiserweights are coming to Raw in their very first episode after the WWE draft. The roster for the Raw's cruiserweight division will be composed of CWC competitors.

According to Daily Wrestling News, there will be ten cruiserweights for the division. The confirmed superstars include Cedric Alexander, Tommaso Ciampa, Noam Dar, Jack Gallagher, Johnny Gargano, Brian Kendrick, Gran Metalik, TJ Perkins, Rich Swann and Akira Tozawa.

There is still no word if a Cruiserweight championship will be introduced as the winner of the CWC will get a customized trophy. Nevertheless, Raw is going to be more exciting with the arrival of these superstars that can actually steal the show.

However, it seems like Vince McMahon wants to even out the divisions on both Raw and SmackDown. The blue brand has already introduced new titles, the SmackDown Women's and SmackDown Tag Team, and the first ever champions are going to be crowned at Backlash.

According to Cageside Seats, the WWE is also planning to add a cruiserweight division to SmackDown but it will depend on the success of it on Raw. The company has only signed ten stars from the CWC and there are still 22 stars that might get a deal.

Some of the unsigned CWC participants include stars such as Kota Ibushi, Zack Sabre Jr, Drew Gulak, Tajiri, Tony Nese and Tyson Dux. It should be noted that SmackDown is just a two-hour show compared to the three-hour Raw, which means they would have difficulty booking all the divisions.

There are also reports backstage that some people are skeptical of the success of the cruiserweight division on Raw since Vince is not a fan of them. The last cruiserweight champion was Hornswoggle that is seen as a slap in the face of many great former champions such as Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko.

But there is still hope since Triple H has been taking over the CWC and it has produced a lot of great matches. If the WWE and Vince give The Game the keys to the division on the main roster, the cruiserweights will surely thrive.
