"I have a busy schedule and am constantly traveling so when I do have the time to grocery shop or prepare a meal, I make it a priority," Wurtzbach told PEOPLE. "However, I love sushi so I find myself eating out often for that!"

The 26-year-old Filipino-German beauty also incorporates protein in her meals and admitted she enjoys foods that stabilize her energy levels. The 5'8" beauty queen fears the possibility to "crash at some point during the day."

For hydration, Miss Universe 2015 makes sure she drinks eight glasses of water a day. Her daily food diary reveals that her breakfast usually consists of one and a half cups of Greek yogurt, three diced strawberries, a tablespoon of honey, mangoes and coffee with a splash of cream.

The beauty queen enjoys grilled-chicken Caesar salad with diced cherry tomatoes, two tablespoons of dressing and one-third cup of low-fat Parmesan cheese for lunch. She snacks on dried mango with cottage cheese on the side and two handfuls of no-salt roasted almonds.

Wurtzbach's dinner usually has oven-roasted salmon with half of tablespoon of olive oil, a cup of feta-topped spinach, a cup of steamed broccoli with fresh lemon juice, garlic and olive oil, as well as two red bliss sliced potatoes with fresh rosemary and olive oil. For dessert, she indulges in two small scoops of low-fat chocolate caramel ice cream.

The total calories for the day of the reigning Miss Universe is 1,758. The estimated calorie requirements for females aged 19 to 30 are 2000 (for sedentary people), 2200 (moderately active) and 2400 (active). Those aged 31 to 50 need 1800, 2000 or 2200 in the sedentary to active range.

For males aged 19 to 30: 2400, 2800 or 3000. For those who are at 31 to 50 age range: 2200, 2600 or 3000, according to WebMD.

The Greek yogurt and the fruit with fiber in Wurtzbach's food diary are commended by dietitian Keri Glassman though she suggested to skip the honey. The dietitian also recommends using vinegar and olive oil instead of Caesar dressing for lunch. Skipping low-fat cheese and getting the fat from olive oil is also better.

Wurtzbach's snack which are nuts is good as they are with antioxidants, protein and fiber though she gave a warning on dried food because it can easily be overeaten. The beauty's dinner is great with salmon's omega-3s and plenty of greens. For the dessert, she recommended just a scoop of the ice cream instead of two.
