Apple gets Siri integrated to different third-party apps like Pinterest, Uber, Vogue, and many more. The new upgrade will let the phone manufacturer win back the old consumers.
According to the official website of Apple, several leading developers are recently previewing the integration of Siri in upcoming versions of their apps. By just using the users' voice, the voice assistant can help them find exactly what they are looking for in their favorite apps. This new integration will let it search for photos, make payments, message friends, and many more.
Pinterest integration will enable users to ask Siri for specific ideas that the users and the others have saved. If the user will ask the voice assistant to find a specific topic on Pinterest, it will launch the user into the app.
The Vogue Runway app is an integration aimed at the fashion industry users. When they ask for any fashion topic, Siri will display all of the easiest possible content to them quickly.
For users who want to look for the latest men's fashion looks, they can ask Siri for the Looklive app. It is an app that discovers and buys men's fashion by browsing thousands of shoppable images.
Siri has been integrated to different transport apps. Users can get rides on Lyft, Uber, China's Didi, and Europe's mytaxi.
The phone manufacturer explained that there some 2 billion Siri requests that are sent in to the company weekly. Some of their users try it out, but there are just others who say that it was not good enough and frustrating to use. This new upgrade is now their chance to win back their consumers.
Writer Nathan Olivarez-Giles wrote on The Wall Street Journal that they have tried out the app's new abilities in demos with the other developers recently. He said that this new upgrade is important to making it more useful in everyday life. He also said that its integration to third-party apps is only the first step toward living up to the phone manufacturer's promise.
Consumer electronics analyst Ben Arnold told the publication in an interview that Siri and its rivals need to continue to evolve. Currently, all voice assistants will only answer questions or performs an action. He said that they should be going to the next step like getting users the information they need before they ask for it.
