Sunderland is currently struggling to find their first win in the term with new manager David Moyes and a below par roster as compared to the other teams of the Premier League.

The addition of loaned 21-year-old winger Adnan Januzaj from Manchester United last month is certainly a welcome one for the Black Cats, but it proved to be not enough to give Moyes' team enough fire power to compete with the bigger clubs in the English top flight competitions.

The team is coming off a sorry 1-1 draw with fellow struggling team Southampton at the St. Mary's Stadium on Aug. 27 as they snapped a two-game losing skid to open the new season, Goal reported.

After a scoreless first 80 minutes of play, Sunderland finally netted the opening goal via a penalty kick from striker Jermain Defoe off a foul from Saints defender Jose Fonte. However, it was quickly equalized five minutes later with a 20-yard low shot from English striker Jay Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, new manager Ronald Koeman led Everton to a surprising start to the new season with a still unbeaten record after three weeks of competitions.

The Toffees opened their 2016-2017 campaign with a 1-1 draw against contending team Tottenham Hotspur at home before going on their current two-game winning run.

Their most recent match was a 1-0 nipping of lowly club Stoke City at their home ground of Goodison Park on Aug. 27, as per SkySports.

An own goal from Stoke City goalkeeper Shay Given gave the win and the three points to Koeman's side after both teams struggled with their attacks on the pitch in the whole game.

Koeman's side is the favorite to win over Moyes' squad in this match as the former has the momentum of two consecutive winning performances.
