Samsung Galaxy A3 Leaked Specs

The GFXBench benchmark listing showed that the Galaxy A3 would have a 4.7-inch AMOLED display with just a screen resolution of 1280 x 720. Fans expect that the smartphone would just be placed in the low to mid-end tier and the specs now confirm their speculations.

Powering the Galaxy A3 is possibly an Exynos 7870 chip with a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU and the ARM Mali-T830 GPU. It is not known whether there will be a Snapdragon equivalent for the international versions.

Samsung could also use 2GB RAM for the Galaxy A3 and 8GB for the internal storage, Uber Gizmo has learned. It is also expected to have a 12MP camera for the rear and a 7MP snapper for the front end of the smartphone.

Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy A3 will only run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Of course, it is still expected to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat version update when it finally launches but it could take months after the initial roll out for Nexus devices.

The GFXBench listing did not mention if the Galaxy A3 will be having an SD card slot considering that the internal storage is so small, Android Headlines reported. Another unconfirmed spec is whether the A3 will have a fingerprint sensor as the listing has no mention of the recognition module.

With the Galaxy Note 7 mishap, it could take more than the Galaxy A3 release to bring back Samsung's glory. Nevertheless, many are still anticipating the price and release date of the Galaxy A3 which could be announced in several weeks considering that there are only a few months before 2016 ends
