Reports have surfaced claiming that Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar's marriage is on the line due to Josh Duggar's sex scandals. However, the couple is rumored to stick together because of the money they earn pretending to be a happy couple.

According to reports, the bone of contention between Duggar parents is their son Josh. Jim Bob and Michelle seem to think differently about their oldest son which is causing a huge strain on their marriage. While the father is ready to accept Josh back into the family fold, Michelle believes otherwise. Rumor has it that the couple is divided on the matter that it is causing a rift among other family members.

According to USA Today, Josh's sex scandals surfaced the first time in May 2015 and soon after that incident, the family's image suffered a deep blow. Subsequently, TLC pulled the plug on their popular reality show, "19 Kids and Counting" and the family lost millions in advertisements and endorsements. As a result, their situation became so bad that they even solicited help from their fans in donations to help the family overcome their financial struggles.

Before the couple hit rock bottom, they were rumored to have a net worth of $3.5 million which has been steadily declining due to Josh's scandals. It has also been speculated to be the reason for their divorce. Josh has already told People magazine in his statement that he regrets molesting young girls over a decade ago and has confessed his inappropriate behavior to his parents who are taking necessary steps to fix the situation.

Meanwhile, even though Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar scored a spinoff reality show, "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," the sisters are reportedly failing to maintain a fan base as their ratings have been declining increasingly. As Jessa is pregnant with her second child, the family is hopeful that it might regenerate the fans' interest in the show.
