With only a month left before "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 airs, fans are waiting eagerly for the lead character Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) to lose her virginity to someone she truly loves. The showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman recently teased that the big moment will happen soon in the upcoming season.

"She does lose her virginity this year," Urman told Entertainment Weekly. "It's in the first half of the season, and it's quite a big episode for us."

However, since "Jane The Virgin" Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger with Jane's newly married husband Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) getting shot, it is being speculated that she will lose her virginity to someone else, most probably another fan favorite character, Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni).

Michael was shot on the couple's wedding day and it is still not confirmed whether he will survive in Season 3 or not. Michael will surely be in a coma for a few days as the police officer is shown unconscious in the recently launched promo of "Jane The Virgin" Season 3.

The promo begins with the flashback of what happened in Season 2. Jane and Michael are seen romantically getting intimate with each other, after which the next scene shows him getting shot.

Since reports have emerged that Jane will meet an old flame someone in the upcoming season, it is also being speculated that she will lose her virginity to the new character. The moment is most likely to shape her way of thinking as the story moves along in the upcoming season.

Aside from Jane losing her virginity and Michael's fate after the attack, another thing that fans are eager to uncover in the upcoming season is whether or not Xiomara Villanueva (Andrea Navedo) will keep her baby with Esteban Santiago (Keller Wortham). Earlier, Urman told The Hollywood Reporter that it is for sure that Xo does not want to have the baby and the showrunnerrs are trying to figure out a way on how to end her story.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW. Watch the promo below:
