"Thor" star, Chris Hemsworth is reportedly going to host the comedy night for SNL when ZBB performs. "Saturday Night Live" is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary for 2015. Last month, the show celebrated country at its best when it had Blake Shelton as a performer and host. Before Shelton's appearance in the show, SNL last had a country act perform in October 2011. Lady Antebellum was a musical guest over 3 years ago in the regular Saturday night comedic show.  The other country artists that have notably graced "Saturday Night Live" screens included Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw. Swift made her appearance in SNL in 2009 as Neil Patrick Harris hosted. Meanwhile, Tim McGraw graced SNL back in 2008.

Rolling Stone reported that The Zac Brown Band has planned to perform their upcoming single, "Homegrown" during their March 7 performance. The insight that Lorne Michaels, SNL's executive producer, had borne an influence of country music in the show loomed large. The funny show has not had country artists as guests until in recent times. Blake Shelton's appearance has contributed to a new country music influence share in a show where laughter is otherwise prominent and hilarious, all the time, all the way.
