Avid players of Electronic Arts' (EA) life simulation game "The Sims 4" have been eagerly awaiting for news of the gaming title's third expansion pack. In a latest announcement, EA has unveiled some interesting details about "The Sims 4 City Living."

"The Sims 4" team posted its announcement on the game's official website on Sept. 13, Tuesday. The upcoming "City Living" expansion pack will feature a new world named San Myshuno. The said world has been described as dynamic and diverse given the various activities, hobbies, careers and new items included in the expansion pack.

San Myshuno is said to be a coastal town located near a mountainous area. The new world comes with new characters such as tourists and other interesting culture diverse citizens. Players can also send their Sim characters to join five festivals such as the Geekcon or the Romance Festival.

On the other hand, various districts in the upcoming "The Sims 4" city-themed world will allow Sims to experience new things. One of these new gameplay features includes playing basketball at San Myshuno's Spice District or joining a group of Sim friends for a fun night of singing at the Karaoke Bar.

Several new careers will also be added where gamers can choose a social media profession for their Sim characters. Players can also opt to have their Sims become a critic or a politician. The new careers will also help Sims to earn in-game money to move from a simple apartment to a posh penthouse unit.

The official "The Sims 4 City Living" trailer posted on the same site also teased of the new items included in the said expansion pack. Some of the said new items appear to be a mural painting and colorful street art drawings. New clothing and hairstyles, as well as furniture items were also featured in the trailer.

In other news, a member of "The Sims" team has confirmed that the upcoming "City Living" DLC will not include new life states, according to the fan site Sims Community. Avid players may recall that some of the previous "The Sims 3" expansion packs included other life states such as toddlers and other supernatural beings like vampires, witches and werewolves. SimGuru Drake has confirmed on the game's forum that the new expansion pack will not feature new life states.

"The Sims 4 City Living" has been slated for release on Nov. 1.
