Paige will continue her tenure with the WWE following a colorful week that included speculations of her possible exit. Speaking for the first time, the former WWE Divas champion finally set things straight.

Rumors flew recently tying up Paige to boyfriend Alberto Del Rio. The Hispanic star has formally left the WWE after Del Rio failed to get the right push since his return to the fold at WWE Hell in a Cell in 2015, WWE.com reported.

When Del Rio left, there were speculations that Paige would exit and follow Del Rio. Both were suspended for violating the WWE wellness policy last Aug. 18 and the WWE never divulge details on the incident, Forbes reported.

Paige cleared the air recently by revealing that she was not leaving the WWE. She cleared her status via Twitter and shed more light on the real score regarding her suspension.

Paige is still suspended though she also elaborated on the real score tied up to the issue. According to Fox Sports, Paige made it clear that she was not suspended for failing any drug test but more on a procedural issue. Paige capped that all off by saying she actually took the test and passed.

"I arranged said test to happen after I wasn't at my home when Aegis contacted me. So I drove 200 miles to do it. Unfortunately, I didn't do it in time, according to Aegis. Once again, thank you for all the love and support!"

As far as her return to the WWE scene is concerned, Paige is reportedly set to return on the Sept. 19 edition of WWE Raw, Wrestlingnews.co reported. It will be a non-physical role for Paige who may still be recuperating from back and injuries.

It remains to be seen what role Paige will undertake when she re-emerges. The WWE Women’s championship is currently being contested by Charlotte and Sasha Banks which means the former champion could end up feuding instead.

A sensible feud could see her lock up with Charlotte, someone she used to wish during the “PCB” days. This could hint at Charlotte losing the title back to Banks which could, in turn, pave the way for crowd-darling Bayley to enter the fray.
