Fans and entertainment media who continue to speculate on a secret romantic relationship between “Descendants of the Sun” actors Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo and a wedding proposal on Song Joong-ki’s 31st birthday on Monday were likely disappointed.
No such news came out that day, but there was separate news about the two Hallyu stars about their careers entirely not connected to their hit 16-episode drama but their other acting life.
Soompi reported on Sunday that Song Hye Kyo posted on her Instagram screenshots from the 1980 breakout drama "Autumn in My Heart" which marked its 16th year of airing on Sept. 18. Song Hye Kyo’s co-stars in the Hallyu, considered one of the first Korean dramas to become a monster hit, were Won Bin and Song Seung Heon.
The drama served as one of the pioneers of the Korean Wave, continued in 2016 by “Descendants of the Sun.” In her caption, Song Hye Kyo thanked her co-stars and director Seokho Yoon.
Meanwhile, Song Joong-ki was speculated to possibly be included in the sequel of the highly popular apocalypse zombie movie “Train to Busan 2.”
Since the expected admissions and wedding proposal apparently never took place, the latest rumor from Thegamersdrop is that the couple have already split and even “Descendants of the Sun 2” has been reportedly cancelled.
