Apple set up a series of beta testing for its iOS 10 operating system before releasing the iOS 10 upgrade to make sure it got everything right. However, what came as a surprise to fans, Apple made a new upgrade to its operating system just days after its Sept. 13 release date. The move was so swift and unprecedented that the Chinese hacking group Pangu had no time to create the iOS 10 jailbreak. Pangu has been working relentlessly to bring the iOS 10 jailbreak tool to users.

The new upgrade, iOS 10.0.1 which is similar to the original iOS 10 can be used on devices such as iPhone 5s and later, iPad 2s and later, iPad Mini 2 and later and for 6th Generation iPods and later. While the upgrade will be notified of the upgrade automatically, it can be done manually by going to Settings, General and then Software Update.

According to Forbes, the iOS 10.0.1 is about 25MB to 60MB and differs depending on the device. However, it is significantly less than the iOS 10 upgrade. From its small size, it is clear that there are no major changes that were made from September 13. Indeed, the upgrade only includes bug and security fixes.

Going by Apple's speed, Pangu needs to hurry things up as the Cupertino-based company will not take much time releasing the next update 10.0.2. There are plenty of reasons as to why users opt to break the Operating system of the iPhone.

Jailbreaking allows Apple users to download apps exclusive to the Android operating system, be it games or any lifestyle app. With this, the user gets the best of both worlds without relying solely on the exclusivity of one or the other. Another benefit includes users being able to personalize their devices look and unlocking the phone in general though they always have the option of reverse jailbreaking.

In its Website, since the release of the iOS 10, the widely known hacking group Pangu has been silent with no official details and this is in contrast to the group's earlier claims, as it was able to successfully break into iOS 10 during beta testing. Also, it could be possible that Apple has found a mean to close the group's entry point into the system.

Users must be aware than updating to the latest iOS 10.0.1 will remove any previous jailbreaking done to their units. Which is why those that opt to have a jailbroken device should wait for some time before upgrading their systems.
