Liverpool had a shaky start in the Premier League this season as they were winless in two for their first three games. However, head coach Jürgen Klopp's squad slowly went into form as the team has now won its last two matches.

The Reds turned back a tough challenge from former unbeaten squad Chelsea, 2-1, on the road at the Stamford Bridge last Friday to emerge victorious in one of their hardest tests this term, as per the Mirror.

Croatian defender Dejan Lovren opened the scoring at the 17th minute before team captain Jordan Henderson doubled the lead at the 36th to give the visitors a 2-0 lead at the half.

The Blues were able to score a consolation goal at the 61st minute from a close range shot by Spanish striker Diego Costa, but it was all the home team could produce to succumb to their first loss in the season.

Meanwhile, Hull City enjoyed a 2-0 start to the season but had been winless in their last three games to settle in the middle of the overall standings, at 12th place, at the moment.

Their most recent match was a 1-4 demolition in the hands of powerhouse team Arsenal at their home ground of KC Stadium last Saturday, SkySports reported.

Midfielder Jake Livermore was sent off five minutes before the halftime break with the Gunners already leading 1-0 via an opening goal from Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal added to the lead 10 minutes after the restart as forward Theo Walcott netted one at the 55th. Tigers winger Robert Snodgrass then trimmed the gap to 1-2 with a penalty kick at the 79th, but Sanchez scored his second goal of the game at the 83rd to make it a two-point lead once again, 3-1.

New midfielder signing Granit Xhaka sealed the win for the visitors during stoppage time, handing caretaker manager Mike Phelan's side their second loss in their last three games.
