Season 4 episode 1 started a few moments from where Season 3 left off. While Liz is still alive, she finds herself in a bad situation where her child is missing, and she is apparently at the mercy of her kidnapper who claims to be her biological father.

Liz is justified not to trust Kirk because of what he did to her. The former FBI profiler wonders how a father can hire killers to destroy her wedding and force her out.

Liz is convinced that Kirk has kidnapper her daughter as well. However, the self-acclaimed biological father will offer Liz facts and truths that Red failed to tell her.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Jon Bokenkamp revealed that Kirk will "show her things that Reddington has either skillfully avoided or not discussed." In the process or revealing these pieces of truth, Liz will start trusting him. According to Bokenkamp, this will be one of the biggest reveals in Season 4.

With Liz believing Kirk's revelation, the show should answer another important question about her relationship with Red. Liz's "death" helped fans to have a deeper insight of Red's past and the extent of his feelings for the former FBI profiler. The showrunner pointed out that Season 4 will also explore the perspective of who Red really is to Liz.

Meanwhile, "The Blacklist" Season 4 episode 2 official synopsis is already out, and it appears as if things will get very intriguing and dramatic since Liz has a difficult time trying to figure out whether or not she should trust Kirk, according to HW Hills. Furthermore, Red will seek for help from Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) and the task force to track down a bounty hunter who the former believes knows the whereabouts of Kirk.

Red is convinced that this mysterious assassin knows about Kirk's next move. Therefore, if they manage to get the bounty hunter, they will be able to find Liz and her daughter, Agnes.

"The Blacklist" Season 4 episode 2 will air on Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. CT on NBC. Here is a sneak peek for more information:
