It is just two months before the historical fiction drama, "Viking" Season 4, returns on the big screen. Rumors are rife that Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) may die in Season 4B since he will face a former enemy again.

Ragnar will come back to Kattegat after years of disappearance after his defeat in Paris against his brother. Since he has been away for quite some time, the Kattegat he returns to is different, and his sons have already grown up. Although his sons are adults, it is said that Ragnar will have some good time with them, particularly Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen).

Ragnar's sons are old enough to take over leadership from their father. However, Ragnar will settle for an unfinished business as he battles King Ecbert (Linus Roache) again in the upcoming season.

In an interview with Variety, series creator Michael Hirst said that "Vikings" Season 4B would get extraordinary with the re-surfacing of King Ecbert. He will eventually meet Ragnar and a huge battle is imminent in Wessex when Season 4 returns.

It is likely that Ragnar will die at the hands of his longtime nemesis. In fact, Fimmel had an interview with IGN revealing that "Vikings" Season 4B will be about the new generation of Vikings, and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) will become the new leader.

"Everything's changed around him, including him," Fimmel said of his character. "Changed for the worst... He doesn't know who to trust. The reasons is not what he thought he was doing it for."

The actor added that nothing that is happening is the reason behind his adventures. It is totally for different reasons, other people's reasons as opposed to Ragnar's. Therefore, he has lost all the interest in leadership.

As a result, viewers should expect the upcoming Season 4B to be tragic and action-packed. Find out whether or not Ragnar will die when Season 4 returns to History Channel from Nov. 30. Watch the sneak peek below for further information on the upcoming Season 4B.
