"Hawaii Five-0's" cast and crew joined thousands of fans and residents alike for the season 7 premiere of "Hawaii Five-0" Sept. 24 at Queen's Beach in Waikiki, Honolulu for fun.


The long-running series has been having beachside parties for every season premiere. Before the next episode of "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 aired on the big screen, Darius Rucker, former Hootie & the Blowfish lead singer took the stage with a live musical performance. "Hawai'i Five-0's" biggest stars hit the red carpet, interacted with their loyal fans and posed for photos.

For the seventh premiere, Daniel Dae Kim, Alex O'Loughlin, Jorge Garcia, Chi McBride, writer Eric Guggenheim and others turned out for the party. Even Scott Caan came by to greet fans and join the event, Honolulu reported.

Guggenheim said, "We have an amazing parkour chase in this first episode, I do not think we have ever seen anything like it on TV. It is pretty amazing, and there is an incredible cameo in the opening scene of the show tonight. Hopefully people really love it."

According to CBS, also in attendance of the event, called "Sunset on the Beach" was local talents Taylor Wily, Teilor Grubbs and Dennis Chun who filmed with them since July. Apparently, Peter Lenkov the executive producer was also in the event to meet and greet the fans of "Hawaii Five-0."

Wily who plays Kamakona on the series talked about his character noting, "I like that he is a good person, and that he represents the local people."

Lenkov said the real treat is about having time with the fans of the police procedural drama. He added, "All fans who came early received a few freebies from them."

The items were tote bags, souvenirs, challenge coins and even scripts from the series. He said, "No premiere is ever the same. I am always blown away that these people come out. Many people travel here just for this. For me, this never gets old."

Before airing the new episode on the big screen titled "Ready to Play" or "Makaukau 'oe e Pa'ani", Grammy Award winner, Rucker took the stage with a live musical performance of his hits. Lenkov and co-executive producer Guggenheim gave him a guest appearance on the show.

"Hawaii Five-0" Season 7, episode 1 showed the bodies of two serial killers found on the Five-0 property. They had chess pieces inside their mouth. This leads to the conclusion of insecurity of the tourists in Hawaii. McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and his team has to find the vigilante behind the killings.

Kim, who is Chin Ho Kelly in the series, appreciated everyone who came to the annual event. He pointed out that Chin has got a new love interest, the first one since he was married and lost his wife.

Jennifer Stevens, a local resident and a big fan of O'loughlin expressed his excitement seeing him. He said, "He is my favorite. I mean, I like the other actors, but he is definitely my favorite. I am a big fan."

The next episode of "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 "For Queen and Country" will premiere on Sept. 30, Friday,  on CBS. Watch episode 2 promo here:
