"Scorpion" season 3 will see the tragic death of at least one character amid Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Walter's (Elyes Gabel) relationship woes.

According to Movie News Guide, there are ongoing speculations that Walter will get into a serious accident so the members of Team Scorpion would have to face their missions without their leader. However, it seems that there is no truth to such speculations because Walter serves as a key character in the hit CBS TV show. If he will be killed off, it's possible that "Scorpion" will also be cancelled.

Meanwhile, fans are not also buying the possibility of Walter's death especially since his relationship issues with Paige haven't been resolved yet. In season 2, Walter lost Paige to new male character Will Armstrong (Scott Patterson). Since Walter has difficulty expressing himself and talking about his emotions, he lost the opportunity to confess his true feelings for Paige. The latter, on the other hand, decided to go with Will.

When the series returns next month, Walter will attempt to tell Paige the truth about his feelings for her. However, while doing so, Walter and Paige will find themselves in great danger.

In "Civil War," the members of Team Scorpion would have to set their personal and romantic relationships aside to help the U.S military track down the group of hackers who have been targeting their aircrafts and war ships. In so doing, Team Scorpion will have the opportunity to ensure the safety of some key American cities and residents.

In other news, "Scorpion" season 3 will have a two-hour premiere on Oct. 3. "Civil War" will be followed by "More Civil War." The episode will serve as a continuation of the previous episode, according to Spoilers Guide. Photos from the upcoming second episode were published online by the publication and it showed Paige and Walter in action. Happy (Jadyn Wong) is also extremely worried of the outcome of their new mission. Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Walter will also have an important scene together.

"Scorpion" season 3, episodes 1 and 2 will air on CBS on Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. ET.
