On Sept. 27, Xiaomi announced two new 4K TV models of Xiaomi Mi TV 3S that runs on Android OS. The Chinese firm also announced a Home Theatre edition for its 4K TV.
Xiaomi Mi TV 3S Design
The stunning Xiaomi Mi TV 3S has an impressive design with the thinnest point of 9.9 mm and its thickest part measure 37.6 mm. The Mi TV 3S sports an anodized aluminum frame with gold diamond-cut edges. The rear sports a brush aluminum panel.
Xiaomi Mi TV 3S Specifications
The 65-inch Mi TV 3S is flanked with display panel from Samsung 4K resolution and 85 percent color gamut. On the other side, the 55-inch Mi TV 3S is fitted with an LG display that also delivers 4K resolution.
Both the smart TVs are powered by 64-bit Amlogic T966 processor that includes a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor working at 1.8 GHz along with quad-core Mali-T830 graphics. The chipset on both the devices are coupled with 2 GB of RAM along with native storage of 8 GB.
For connectivity, both the 4K TVs support Wi-Fi 802.11ac and v4.0 Bluetooth. With H.265 decoder onboard, both the smart TVs are able to deliver 4K resolution content at 60 fps. It also supports hardware level DTS and Dolby audio decoding.
According to the Chinese company, the MI TV 3S is equipped with fifth generation image quality engine. Most of the 4K resolution TV sets do not feature HDR, but the Mi TV 3S comes with the feature, GSM Arena reported. The artificial intelligence available on the Mi TV 3S can learn the viewers interests and accordingly suggest TV shows and movies.
Xiaomi Mi TV 3S Home Theatre Edition includes 65-inch Mi TV 3S, two 2.25-inch wireless surround sound speakers for the rear, a wireless sound bar along with a wireless sub-woofer. Without the home theatre speakers, the 65-inch still comes with four inbuilt speakers.
Xiaomi Mi TV 3S Pricing
According to MIUI, the 55-inch Xiaomi Mi TV 3S is priced at CNY 3,499 Yuan ($525). The 65-inch model costs CNY 4,999 ($749). The Home Theatre variant carries a pricing of CNY 5,999 ($899).
