The latest details for "Arrow" season 5 will feature the Supergirl team-up, episode 2 synopsis and the villains for the big four night crossover episode.

It seems that the rumored "Arrow" and "Supergirl" TV series crossover episode has been confirmed when Stephen Amell tweeted a photo of him as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow alongside Melissa Benoist character Kara Danvers/Supergirl on a rooftop of a building.

It is unknown yet if the Green Arrow and Supergirl team-up will take place in Star City or in National City, so comic book fans are left guessing as to which show there team-up will happen. Amell stated in an interview that a crossover seems "highly likely" citing that all four DC TV series are in the CW Network.

The "Supergirl" TV series is now part of the CW Network from its former network CBS and will continue its second season there. Fans have already seen a Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) team-up with Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) in a crossover episode which confirmed that existence of the multiverse.

Amell believed that the "Arrow" and "Supergirl" crossover has "potential" as he pointed out that his show has been there the longest and the success of the series has paved the way from other DC series.

In other news, the synopsis for episode 2 of "Arrow" season 5 has been revealed as the plot of the it will feature Oliver Queen recruiting and training the new members of Team Arrow.

The new team will consist of Curtis Holt/Mister Terrific (Echo Kellum), Jack Wheeler/Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp/ Artemis (Madison McLaughlin). Unfortunately their training will not go so well and Oliver must find a way to make them team players. Meanwhile in the flashback, Oliver will be starting his initiation with the Bratva Russian mob, ComingSoon reported.

Lastly, the main villains of the four night crossover have been revealed as the heroes from "Arrow", "The Flash", "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow" will be facing the alien invaders called the Dominators.

The story of the crossover will based on the DC comic book storyline "Invasion!" in the 1980s and executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly that they will be using cutting edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look, faithful to comic book artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters. The said crossover will center on Supergirl and it is set on Barry's home town of Central City.

"Arrow" season 5 will premier on Oct. 5 on the CW Network.
