One Punch Man is an anime TV series produced by Madhouse based from a Japanese webcomic created by One.
New details and spoilers for "One Punch Man" season 2 will feature 19 episodes for the anime and an explanation of Saitama's past and source of power.
It was during the "One Punch Man" Fall Festival event that the staff and cast of the "One Punch Man" anime series official announced its season 2 and added the anime will have its owne mobile app game, AnimeNewsNetwork reported.
Madhouse and anime director Shingo Natsume first aired season 1 of "One Punch Man" on October-December 2015 in Japan, while Viz Media and Daisuke are responsible for launching the anime show outside of Japan.
It is highly speculated that "One Punch Man" season 2 could happen depending on the success of the English dub version of its season 1. A high viewership for the English-dubbed season 1 of "One Punch Man" has already been given and both the manga and the series have created a solid fan base all over the world.
Manga creator Yusuke Murata gave an update for "One Punch Man" as he is working extra hard to make the second season possible and to have a early release date. Murata added that he and his team are at the first phase of the production and they are already updating the source materials for the anime, but there not details regarding what storyline will it be based on.
While the official release date of "One Punch" season 2 is still unknown, there are several speculations that the intended release of the anime will be on October this year, while some are stated that it could be in the early months of 2017.
As for the main plot of "One Punch Man" season 2, several anime fans speculated that it will based in the "Hero Hunt" arc as Saitamai, Genos and the rest of Hero Association will face and fight Garou. Another rumored plot will feature a civil war like storyline involving the Hero Association and the Hero Hunters.
There are also hints that season 2 will explain Saitama's past even further as bits of his past life before getting bald and obtaining his incredible power have not been explained properly, and fans are hoping to see a bit more.
Rank 1 A-Class hero Amai Mask will also have a huge role in the "One Punch Man" season 2 as he will likely discover the source of Saitama's power and will likely exploit it for his selfish reasons. Season 2 will likely feature 19 episodes, rather 12 in it first run, iTechPost reported.
Anime fans will likely have to wait for more details on "One Punch Man" season 2 very soon.
