A few weeks ago, various reports claimed NFL was in the talks with Lady Gaga. E! Online revealed that the NFL became "very interested" with the singer due to a number of reasons. One of which was due to her noteworthy performance of the National Anthem the previous year.

Earlier this year, Lady Gaga sang the National Anthem and considered this experience as a "dream come true" as a pop superstar.

"I've always wanted to sing the National Anthem at a major sporting event since I was a little girl, and for it to be the Super Bowl, it is the ultimate. This is one of the highest honors of my career," Lady Gaga said.

The NFL encourages fans to watch out for the six-time Grammy winner's exclusive in-studio interview on Sunday, Oct. 2, which will be shown in FOX NFL Sunday Pregame Show at 12:00 p.m. Curt Menefee and Michael Strachan will join Lady Gaga as she reveals what fans can expect in next year's show.

Behind the scenes footages of her preparation to the halftime show will also be available at the Pepsi website.

The Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl Li Halftime Show is considered to be the "most watched musical event of the year" with more than 116.5 million viewers last year in the U.S.A alone, according to an article on NFL.com.

Previous performers of the highly acclaimed Super Bowl halftime show include the legendary Prince Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Madonna and the Black Eyed Peas.
