"The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale featured Negan and his barb-wired bat Lucille on a head-bashing spree that killed a yet to be identified character. The latest clip for the AMC show's upcoming Season 7 may have provided an important clue about Negan's victim.

The Season 6 finale ending of "The Walking Dead" left may viewers frustrated given its cliffhanger ending. The identity of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) brutal killing game remained a mystery but a latest teaser clip may have offered a few hints about the murdered character.

Unveiled during the AMC show's panel at the New York Comic-Con, the clip gave avid fans a quick look at Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Negan shortly after the head-bashing incident, according to Screen RantIt also provided a snapshot of a bloodied ground that contained bits and pieces of bones and brain matter.

The clip soon became viral where some fans patiently pored over minute details to glean important information about the upcoming Season 7 premiere. One of these details points to Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) as Negan's potential victim.

Speculations posted by a few fans online teased of what appears to be Maggie's (Lauren Cohan) engagement ring among the gory and bloody remains shown in the said clip. Maggie may have left the ring on the ground after Glenn's rumored demise. Leaving the ring may also be considered as the said character's way of saying goodbye to a loved one.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 teaser also hinted of Rick potentially losing his right hand. After highlighting the importance of having a "right hand" man, Negan dragged Rick into the camper with a hatchet and Lucille. The said action appears to suggest that Negan may cut off the said character's hand to teach him a lesson.

At this point, it is still unclear whether or not the showrunner will introduce a handicapped Rick in Season 7. The said character already lost his hand to The Governor in the comic books.

Meanwhile, showrunner Greg Nicotero hinted of the Season 7 premiere's "unbelievable moments" during the show's New York Comic-Con panel. The upcoming episode also contains several amazing scenes that will set the tone for Season 7, Entertainment Weekly quoted Nicotero as saying.

The showrunner added, "For me, some of the most amazing moments are found not where you're going to expect them when you watch the first episode."
