Park Bo Gum and his earlier drama "Reply 1988" nabbed several awards during the recently held tvN10 Awards ceremony. The "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" actor was even honored with tvN's Asia Award during the said event.
"Reply 1988" was recognized as the South Korean cable network's top drama during the tvN10 Awards ceremony. Park's tvN series nabbed the Content Grand Excellence Award for the drama category, according to Yonhap News.
Released on November 2015, the said drama featured a coming-of-age storyline mixed with elements of family drama and comedy. The series captured the interest of many viewers with its interesting characters and period items reminiscent of the late 1980s.
"Reply 1988" was also chosen as the cable network's best drama during its decade-long history. It bested other tvN series such as "Misaeng," "Nine," "Signal" and more.
Meanwhile, Park's "Reply 1988" co-stars Ra Mi Ran and Kim Sung Kyoon received the Scene Stealer Award for their performance in the said drama, Star News reported. The cable network's Trending Actors Award was also awarded to the "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" actor's former cast members Ryun Jun Yeol and Hyeri.
Park's growing fame both in South Korea and other Asian countries also landed him the said cable network's prestigious Asia Award. The actor has become one of Korea's popular celebrities after his participation in the "Reply 1988" drama and other acting projects.
Other awardees during the tvN10 Awards event included Jo Jin Woong who won the Acting Excellence Award for his performance in the drama "Signal." The Best Actor and Best Actress awards went to "Misaeng" star Lee Sung Min and Kim Hye Soo, respectively.
For the cable network's variety shows, the program "Three Meals a Day - Fishing Village" nabbed the Content Grand Excellence honor. The Variety Icon Award was given to the cast of the travel show "Grandpas Over Flowers" namely Shin Goo, Park Geun Hyung, Baek Il Sub and Lee Soon Jae.
