The WWE has not confirmed The Deadman's status since WrestleMania 32 but they included him on their list of top free agents after the brand extension. He was last seen in a Texas bar back in August with Shane and he has dyed his hair, per Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Some fans believed that The Undertaker was going to return to SmackDown Live but actually, he attended a wedding with his wife, Michelle McCool, around early September. After that, photos of him with crutches went viral and many thought that his career is really over.

According to Cageside Seats, The Undertaker underwent hip surgery around late September and he uses the crutches to walk around. It was not noted whether the surgery was career ending or not. Nevertheless, fans are still hoping for one final match from him.

Hip surgeries usually take three to six months to recover from and some people speculate that he will wrestle at the biggest event of the year next year. Due to his age and physical condition, he opted to have surgery in order to return in time for WrestleMania 33.

The Phenom was scheduled to face John Cena at WrestleMania 32 but Cena suffered a shoulder injury so Shane was called in to replace him. Some of the names that have been thrown around recently to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33 include Cena, Sting and Kevin Owens.

The return of The Undertaker will be a hot topic in the coming months leading up to the Royal Rumble in San Antonio, Texas. He is rumored to be appearing at the event but nothing has been confirmed. If ever The Undertaker retires permanently, his place in the history books is secured.
