Apple has released another beta of both  iOS 10.1 and macOS Sierra 10.12.1 ahead of its official launch of Portrait photo mode for the iPhone 7 Plus slated for Oct. 25. The fifth beta release arrives just two days after Apple supplied the fourth iOS 10.1 beta and more than a month after availing iOS 10 to the public.

According to Apple Insider, the fourth beta for macOS Sierra 10.12.1 arrived last week and it is expected to support an OLED touch bar rumored to be one of the main features of a redesigned, thinner MacBook Pro. iOS 10.1 release may be one of the highly anticipated updates for iPhones with expectations of bringing the most alluring new camera features to the iPhone 7 Plus, the Portrait mode.

Apple described iOS 10 as one of biggest releases for iOS users ever. Among its features are its redesigned Lock screen, a completely overhauled Messages app, a Siri SDK to allow third-party apps to integrate with Siri, and more.

In addition to the Portrait mode available universally for the iPhone 7 Plus, Apple has built in a special FeliCa Type-F NFC controller with its iPhones for commuters to use such devices on the busy Japanese public transportation system, Mac Rumors reported. Apple CEO Tim Cook was one of the first customers to use his iPhone 7 to enter a gate on JR East's Yamanote Line in Tokyo, Japan.

Registered developers can download the iOS 10.1 beta 5 from the Apple Developer Center or over-the-air. The public beta testers can download the update over-the-air after downloading the configuration profile from Apple's beta testing website and installing it. iOS 10.1 beta 5 is identified as build 14B72c and macOS Sierra 10.12.1 beta 5 as build 16B2553a.

The tech giant is expected to stage a media presentation on Oct. 27, Thursday where the company is rumored to release new 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pros, plus a new 13-inch MacBook Air. Watch iPhone 5 : iOS 9.3.5 vs iOS 10.1 Beta 4 / Public Beta 4 Speed Test Build # 14B72b video here:
