OnePlus has been slowly gaining market consumers due to the company's decent smartphone models under a competitive price. Now, after the OnePlus 3 release proved to be a successful this year, the Chinese smartphone maker revealed their next flagship model rumored as OnePlus 4 that will be released in 2017.
Headlines & Global News reported that the rumored OnePlus 4 is one of the most highly anticipated smartphones to be released in 2017. Following its increasing notch against other smartphone makers, the OnePlus 4 can be released around the same time as the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8, HTC 11 and LG G6, which could really get wind up the competition.
Rumors claim that the anticipated OnePlus 4 is set on becoming a flagship killer, boasting high performance specs at a reasonably high cost. The device is expected to sport the same 5.5-inch display that was introduced by its predecessor, but will carry an increased resolution from 1080 X 1920 pixels to 1440 X 2560 pixels.
In addition, the device's screen will deliver better virtual reality experience to its users. To give the display more edge, it has been also provided with an Optic AMOLED that would produce 4K display quality. The 4K screen supports 3D-video that will improve movie streaming and gaming experience.
In terms of its chassis, the OnePlus 4 is rumored to support 8GB RAM, exceeding the 6GB RAM of OnePlus 3, and could carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset. The device will also sport a 32GB storage capacity, expandable up to 265GB with the help of a microSD slot. Its battery life is upgraded to 4000mAh against OnePlus 3's 3000mAh battery capacity. OnePlus 4 will be shipped with Android Nougat pre-installed.
According to GameNGuide, the OnePlus 4 cameras are to be further tuned and improved with added features. The device reportedly boasts a 23MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper, which is more competitive than OnePlus 3's 16-megapixel rear camera.
If any of these rumored specs turn out to be true, then OnePlus 4 might just turn out to be a flagship killer once it hits the smartphone market. Also, reports point out that OnePlus has an upcoming device in the pipeline; however, it may not be called the OnePlus 4 but OnePlus 3S or OnePlus 3 Plus.
For now, OnePlus spectators should take the above mentioned information with a pinch of salt until the company actually confirms them.
