Chelsea has bounced back from a three-game winless spell as the team is now on a two-game winning run.

The Blues are coming off a 3-0 demolition of reigning champions Leicester City last Saturday also at the Stamford Bridge for their second straight win, Daily Mail Online reported.

Spanish striker Diego Costa scored the opening goal in the seventh minute before Belgium winger Eden Hazard doubled their lead in the 33rd as the hosts took a two-point lead at the halftime interval.

Nigerian midfielder Victor Moses sealed the win with a goal in the 80th minute before going to the bench as he was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

With the victory, head coach Antonio Conte's squad climbed to the fifth spot of the current league table. They are now only one point below fourth-running team Liverpool and three points away from league leaders Manchester City and Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Manchester United had been struggling to find a win lately as the team won only once in their last five outings.

With their recent struggles, the Red Devils dropped to the seventh place in the overall standings after being on top of it during the first few weeks of the new season.

United was held to a 0-0 draw by fellow contenders Liverpool on the road at the Anfield on Monday for their second consecutive drawn game, as per SkySports.

Head coach Jose Mourinho's boys were actually fortunate to salvage a draw after the Reds put on the pressure in the second half of play.

Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea kept the game scoreless with two magnificent saves late in the game, helping the team salvage a point in the standings.

Dominant striker Zlatan Ibrahimović missed an easy header early after the break which could have given his team the victory if he had made it.
