The "Bad Romance" hitmaker added "life changes" was the reason for their sudden break-up. She then credited Kinney for being cool about her creative transformations throughout the years.

Gaga stressed that the 35-year-old actor will continue to inspire her music, whether they are in a romantic relationship or not. In particular, she said there is a lot on her fifth studio album that is inspired by their five-year relationship.

The "American Horror Story" actress goes ahead to say that Kinney has been her lover and her friend for a long time. She added, "He's been so supportive of the album and I support him on his show, 'Chicago Fire.'"

Gaga and Kinney, who met while playing lovers in the former's "You and I" music video, officially became an item on July 2011. The pair then announced their engagement in February 2015.

However, the two decided to end their romance in early July because their busy schedules keep getting in the way, Vanity Fair reported. Though no word on who pulled the plug, Gaga shared an emotional post about their split on Instagram at the time.

Despite the troubles with her personal life, Gaga's career has never been better. Released on Oct. 21, the diva's fifth studio album, titled "Joanne," may launch with more than 140,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 27, according to industry forecasters, as cited by Billboard.
