In "The Walking Dead" Season 7, Payton will play a mysterious character named King Ezekiel. Viewers will recognize him in the show with his dreadlocked hair and pet tiger named Shiva.

King Ezekiel will be introduced in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 episode 2 titled "The Well," which will air on AMC on Oct. 30. In the episode, viewers will see Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) brought to The Kingdom where they meet Ezekiel.

Payton is represented by Innovative and Gekis Ribera Management, according to Deadline. Aside from "Mafia III," Payton also served as a voice actor in other video games including "Young Justice: Legacy," "Batman: Arkham Origins" and "Infamous: Second Son."

Before joining the cast of "The Walking Dead" Season 7, Payton is known for voicing several characters. The actor recently voiced Rafiki and Muhangus in "The Lion Guard" as well as Grimlock, Divebomb and Bisk in "Transformers: Robots in Disguise."

Unfortunately, Payton is joining "The Walking Dead" Season 7 just as when South Korean-American actor Steven Yeun's character Glenn Rhee was killed off. As for Yeun, he recently confessed to Entertainment Weekly that his character's death has yet to "hit" him.

On the big screen, Payton is set to star in "Loners," a comedy film written by Neil McGowan and directed by Eryc Tramonn. Among his co-stars are "Scandal" actor Brian Letscher, "CSI: Cyber" actor Tyson Turrou and "Graves" actor David Christian Welborn.
