Niantic Labs will not tolerate the use of third-party apps which are stressed to be against “Pokemon Go’s” terms of service. Account bans and/or suspensions await players who are caught these programs though the developers of FastPokeMap claim that it is legally safe to use.

The folks behind FastPokeMap have alleged that they are on the brink of releasing the map scanning app though the updated version has yet to come out in the open, BGR reported. That could happen at any point soon though some trainers may be apprehensive for fear of being grounded from playing “Pokemon Go”.

Most are aware that Niantic wants everyone to play fair when it comes to pocket monster hunting. But the thing here is that some have resorted to third-party app use mainly because the in-game features of “Pokemon Go” have been rendered useless.

In the case of FastPokeMap, it is seen as a more reliable program to aid in “Pokemon Go” tracking. The game does have a feature included but has nowhere been near useful for the one’s still playing the AR game.

A “Pokemon Go” update is believed to be coming soon and one of the interesting new features people want is an improved tracking system. The latest update rolled out covered egg-hatching, new icons, and improvements aimed at the battery indicator of the Pokemon Go Plus accessory, Pokemon Go Live reported. Other than that, there is nothing much for gamers to cheer about.

Technically, this could be grounds to justify the use of third-party apps for “Pokemon Go” though it remains to be seen if Niantic will soften up its stance. So far, no reports of account bans have spread though most may have been covered by the first wave of bans.

Moving forward, it remains to be seen will continue to enforce strict measures when it comes to using external apps for “Pokemon Go”. The number of active players for the game has been decreasing, a chunk of which are players who have grown tired of waiting for improvements. Will Niantic soften up on the use of FastPokeMap or risk seeing further decline in player count?
