Miley Cyrus' hands have been full lately with her campaign for Hillary Clinton and a gig with "The Voice." No wonder she decided not to go big this Halloween weekend. She just wants to rest and relax as what she revealed on an Instagram post.
The United States presidential election is near and the singer-songwriter had been busy canvassing for Clinton. She went dorm to dorm campaigning at George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia in the afternoon of Oct. 22 encouraging young people to cast their votes on Nov. 8.
Cyrus discussed how the election results would affect the future. In the evening, she celebrated Bill Murray at the Mark Twain Prize in D.C. by attending a rehearsal dinner hosted by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Time reported.
The following day, the young actress and philanthropist acted like a tourist to learn more about the country’s history and how it became the land of the free. She took the chance to explore and appreciate the monumental landmarks in Washington, D.C. During the evening, she attended the 19th Annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, honoring Bill Murray.
Aside from campaigning for Clinton, the young artist is one of the coaches on NBC’s “The Voice” where she is dubbed by insiders as the “most devoted coach ever,” US Weekly reported. She has been working really hard for her team, going to dress rehearsals even if she is not paid to be there.
This week, the former “Hannah Montana” actress finally confirmed her engagement with Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. On Oct. 27, Thursday, she talked about the ring that she has been wearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
“It’s very weird cause this is like real jewelry, and most of my jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy,” Cyrus told DeGeneres. "And, they don’t look that good together ‘cause they kind of mix up.”
“The Voice” coach added that she replaced the ring with a Looney Tune or unicorn but Hemsworth noticed. She told him it is really not her “aesthetic” but will wear it anyway because he loves her. DeGeneres commented Cyrus’ beau could have saved a lot of money by giving her a gummy bear ring.
