The moment Little Big Town revealed that Taylor Swift wrote the lyrics for their "Better Man" single, fans began speculating words of this new track were somehow inspired by either one of Swift's most recent exes, Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston. But some evidence suggests this may not be the case.

In a Facebook Live conference, band members revealed the "Shake it Off Singer" composed the song for them.

"She sent us this song, and it was one that was really special to her," Karen Fairchild told their fans. "And she thought of us because of the harmonies, and she's never pitched a song to anyone before and the moment that we heard it we were like, 'Man, that is a song that we're gonna cut.'"

Swift on the other hand, expressed through Instagram how really honored she was that Little Big Town, a band she loved for so many years, decided to record the lyrics she has written.

"Feeling really honored that a band I've loved for so many years decided to record this song I wrote," she shared. "Good luck at #cmaawards @littlebigtown !! Love you guys."

Meanwhile, fans cannot help but ask who between Harris and Hiddleston served as the "Bad Blood" singer's inspiration to the lyrics of the song. To end all the queries and speculations, a Nashiville reporter negated the rumor when she tweeted and deleted a post that says Harris is not the inspiration behind "Better Man," E Online reported.

The end of the tweet claimed a revelation that the multi-awarded artist has written the song way back in 2010, a time before Swift had a relationship with the "This is What You Came For" artist and the British actor.

However, according to the same report, another claim opened up more questions rather than answers. A reliable source told the publication that what was being pertained as a song written by Swift in 2010 is not "Better Man," but another of the 26-year old artist's singles.

On the other hand, investigations made by Elle point that Swift's experiences during the course of her relationship with both Harris and Hiddleston are evident in the song's lyrics.
