Activision recently shared some interesting "Destiny 2" updates that teased of the company and Bungie's plans for the sequel. It appears that game developers are looking to revamp the said gaming title with new gameplay features and new characters.

"Destiny 2" is one of the highly anticipated gaming sequels set to hit the market in the coming year. Activision and Bungie both kept details of the planned game a secret. However, a recent financial conference unveiled a few interesting information about the game.

Activision's CEO Eric Hirshberg mentioned during the financial briefing that game developers are "on track" with designing and creating the said gaming title. Described as an "awesome sequel," the upcoming game promises to entice both old and new players, Dual Shockers quoted the CEO as saying.

Game developers are also looking at broadening the game's appeal to make it more interesting for avid gamers. The said development strategy has been the company's primary focus for "Destiny 2," according to the Activision executive.

Hirshberg also highlighted the fans' huge demand for new content to be added to the existing "Destiny" game and its upcoming sequel. Given the high volume of new gameplay feature requests, both Bungie and Activision came up with a "very smart approach" that will constantly stream varied and "great content" to meet the players' demands.

Apart from a quick glimpse of the game's development progress, Hirshberg declined to disclose other details such as the upcoming sequel's new features, storyline and characters. However, he shared that the company is expecting to reel in millions of new gamers once the gaming sequel is released.

Meanwhile, many players are expecting to see several gaming enhancements and an exciting new world in "Destiny 2." Sources told Kotaku that Bungie has been looking at potentially starting from scratch to deliver a proper sequel and not a remake of the original version. The source stated "[Destiny 2] is a completely different game ... This is the overhaul to fix big things."
