Samsung Galaxy S8 release is reportedly delayed as the next major smartphone release from Samsung could be running into some difficulty.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is reportedly packed in an upgraded hardware alongside a super-powered camera and Android Nougat. However, the Samsung Galaxy S8 could see a delay as Samsung looks to ensure its new device is ready to blow away its rivals.

According to Express, Samsung normally reveals its new flagship during the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. It is the same for the Galaxy S7 smartphone, which was unveiled back in March.

However, sources close to the South Korean multinational conglomerate company revealed to the Wall Street Journal that Samsung is taking precautions to avoid a repetition of what surrounded the Galaxy Note 7 launch. Samsung received criticisms after reports suggested that the firm had released the Note 7 without testing the device properly in order to capitalize on consumer anticipation.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is speculated to feature a super-smart AI voice assistant called Viv as Samsung takes on the likes of Google and Apple. Viv, an intelligent and powerful assistant within Samsung's array of gadgets such as Gear S watches, Smart TVs, Galaxy smartphones, and more, would enable the firm against the rising competition from Apple's Siri, the Google Assistant, and Amazon's Alexa.

In addition, such a service integrated into Samsung Galaxy S8 would allow the South Korean firm reduce its dependence on Google services. The device is also set to have a dramatic redesign as Samsung looks to shake up its gadgets.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to follow the Note 7 design and feature dual-curved displays on every model. Samsung has released a separate Edge variation of its flagship Galaxy S smartphone for the last two years. This costs more and takes advantage of the stunning dual-curved display.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to launch in two models, one with a 5.5 inch, the same screen sizes as the Galaxy S7 devices and the other with 5.1 inch dual-curved display. The new devices are codenamed Dream and Dream2 inside Samsung as revealed by the sources.
