'Doctor Strange' was a box office hit; Benedict Cumberbatch had second secret role

Marvel's film "Doctor Strange" has been a success as it has been box office hit. For, those who have supported the film they may come into realization that Benedict Cumberbatch; the film's lead actor has a secret second role in the movie.

Slash Film had learned that Benedict Cumberbatch delivers a very fascinating performance in Scott Derrickson's "Doctor Strange." According to the audience's response to the movie and its opening weekend at the box-office it might be an indication that the viewers liked Cumberbatch's performance as surgeon-turned-sorcerer Stephen Strange.

Moreover, Screen Crush reported that "Doctor Strange" was a long-time-coming solo film for one of Marvel Comics' most unconventional heroes. Additionally, to the peculiarity of being the first performer in the history of cinema it has been a hats-off for Cumberbatch. Also, some reports reveal that in addition to the Sorcerer Supreme, Benedict Cumberbatch also played a second but an uncredited role in the "Doctor Strange" production.

The primary antagonist in the movie was Mads Mikkelsen's Kaecilius but then as the story moves on it turns out to be different. The evil god Dormammu goes out to be the real big bad character. The authoritarian ruler of the dark dimension was most commonly portrayed in the comics as a humanoid figure with a head made out of fire. But the film goes the Galactus route and reimagines Dormammu as a gargantuan, rippling, color-changing disembodied face. It was also noticed that there is no actor credited as Dormammu in the end roll.

But when director Scott Derrickson was asked who played the part, he stated that "The voice was a British actor whose name I don't know'. Then he added, "Benedict did the facial capture for it."

With the Derrickson's confirmation, Benedict Cumberbatch really played another role in the movie "Doctor Strange." Also, it's a thumbs up for him as the film went into a box office hit.
