LG Electronics already released two of its flagship devices this year namely; LG G5 and LG V20. Now, the South Korean tech is speculated to release a smaller version of the later which will be called LG V20 S offering similar specs with the V20 model.
Ubergizmo had learned that LG is reportedly on the works of a smaller version of LG V20. This was based on a trademark filing that a certain "LG V20 S" name has been trademarked over in Europe. This could be really possible since the trademark was filed in Europe, also the smartphone could also be limited to the European market.
It can be remembered that back in September LG confessed that company is uncertain about whether the South Korean smartphone maker would release the LG V20 in Europe or not. So while the LG V20 might not make its way to the region, a variant could. As of the moment it is not yet known what the "S" stands for as it could mean a slightly upgraded model, or maybe the "S" could stand for "small".
Additionally, Phone Arena reported LG V20 S is a smartphone that is already official in Japan: the LG isai Beat (LGV34). This handset went official on Japanese carrier au KDDI in the middle of October and it hits Japan market shelves in November.
The LG V20 S features a smaller, 5.2-inches QHD display and a dimension of 72mm x 149mm x 8.0mm. This handset weighs 146 grams which is slightly lighter than the original LG V20. It is engineered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 which is clocked at 2.2 GHz that is paired with 4 GB of RAM.
As for the camera, it has a 16MP main rear snapper, wide-angle secondary rear shooter. The smaller version of LG V20 is packed with 32 GB in-built storage than can be further expanded through microSD cards. This handset is powered by 3,000 mAh capacity battery and it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with LG skin as it comes out the box. In addition with the features the LG V20 S is water-proof.
With the device being available in Japan it is safe to conclude that the LG V20 S might also arrive in Europe. Nonetheless, LG Electronics will surely announce every detail soon.
