"Fantastic Beasts" lead wizard Newt Scamander played by Eddie Redmayne dropped a few hints about the J.K. Rowling movie franchise. The British actor revealed the next movie is set in Paris.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is the first of the five films written by world-renowned Harry Potter series author J.K. Rowling. The first movie will be shown on the big screen starting this month. According to Reuters, the movie introduces fans to new magical characters. Redmayne portrays the role of Newt Scamander, an introverted wizard working as a "magizoologist", who arrives in New York City in the 1920s with a case full of magical creatures that quickly escape.

In an interview with Reuters while promoting his movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", the award-winning British actor shared he is excited that his character will be in Paris for the next film.

"I'm quite excited about because I think that period in history, Paris is kind of a cool place to be hanging out," Redmayne said. However, he was quick to clarify he can only reveal that much as they, the entire cast of "Fantastic Beasts", have sworn to secrecy about the future of the films.

Aside from the film location, various reports have confirmed Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is joining the "Fantastic Beasts" sequel. A Deadline report revealed Depp, who had a small cameo role in the first film as Gellert Grindelwald, will co-star alongside Redmayne in the second film.

The making of the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" sequel was made public last August. Variety reported Warner Bros. Pictures will be working on the second film with J.K. Rowling as the scriptwriter and David Yates as director.  The entertainment production company also disclosed the second film's plot which will "move deeper into an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world, where Newt [Redmayne] and our other heroes have to decide on their allegiances."

The "Fantastic Beasts" sequel is scheduled to be released in November 2018. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is a children's fantasy film set in the wizarding world of J.K. Rowling. The story covers 70 years before Harry Potter enrolls at Hogwarts.
