Earlier this year, HTC had officially announced that the Android 7.0 Nougat update will be provided to HTC 10 users before the end of 2016. Latest news suggests that Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC 10 is close at hand.

HTC has been very much clear about Android 7.0 update as it had mentioned in June that it will be releasing the software update to HTC 10, HTC One M9 and One A9.  However, HTC devices sold two years back will not be eligible to get the Android Nougat 7.0 update.

HTC 10 Android 7.0 Nougat Update

HTC had confirmed in August that the unlocked HTC 10 phones will be the first to get the new version of Android updates by last quarter of 2016. Android Nougat update for its carrier variant will be available later.

In October, a HTC 10 smartphone running on Nougat was spotted on GFXBench benchmarking site. It indicated that the Taiwanese company is testing Nougat update for HTC 10.

Now, popular leakster, LlabTooFer has claimed that the Android 7.0 Nougat update would be arriving for HTC 10 owners in Europe by November or early December. He did not reveal any information about Nougat release for HTC 10 users in the U.S., Phone Arena reported.

HTC One M9, One A9 Android 7.0 Nougat Update

The Taiwanese firm had confirmed that unlocked HTC One M9 would be getting Nougat update after it the software update is made available for HTC 10. Later the update is expected to be available for HTC One M9 carrier variants.

Since HTC 10 Android 7.0 Nougat has still not arrived yet, the leakster has claimed that users of unlocked HTC One M9 may get Nougat update by the year end or early 2017, Android Authority reported. As far as Android N for One A9 is concerned, it is likely to get the software update after it arrives for HTC 10 and HTC One M9.

HTC Bolt - First HTC Smartphone Running on Android 7.0 Nougat

HTC has recently released the Sprint exclusive HTC Bolt smartphone in the U.S. It is the first smartphone from the Taiwanese company to run Android 7.0. The Googles Pixel smartphones that runs on Android 7.0 have been assembled by HTC but those devices are not sold with HTC brand name.
