Beloved characters of "Quantico" have been battling a terrorist group that threatens to kill many innocent civilians in Season 2 of the ABC show. Despite the serious tone of previous episodes, the upcoming winter finale will bring happy news for the characters Alex (Priyanka Chopra) and Ryan (Jake McLaughlin).
"Quantico" Season 2 episode 8 will feature a romantic engagement scene between the two protagonists Alex and Ryan. In an exclusive clip posted on Entertainment Tonight, Ryan can be seen waiting anxiously for Alex inside the small room that served as their safe haven in earlier episodes.
Alex is confused with Ryan's request for a secret meeting but takes advantage of the situation to tell Ryan how she feels about their relationship. With the secrets that they are forced to hide from each other, Alex questions her partner whether their relationship can survive the mission. She stated, "We're already keeping so much from each other, and I don't like secrets. I like answers."
Ryan admitted that he may not be able to provide Alex with the answers she needs but he is willing to continue fighting for their relationship. He then takes Alex by surprise when he kneels down on one knee and asks her to marry him.
The romantic proposal also included a promise from Ryan that if Alex wished him to leave his government assignments and start a new life, he would do so immediately. The clip ended with Alex looking down at Ryan with an incredulous expression on her face as she listened to her lover's proposal.
At this point, it is still unclear if Alex will accept Ryan's marriage proposal. The scene also appears to be part of a flashback during the two agents' training days at the Farm.
Meanwhile, "Quantico" Season 2 episode 8 spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide teased of Alex's continued efforts to stop the terrorist attack. With a biological weapon to destroy, Alex and her team will try to dismantle the said weapon, however, someone will betray Alex in the end.
