However, with barely three months on the market, the iPhone 7 is already being upstaged by news of the iPhone 8 and its speculated features. Anticipation for the upcoming Apple smartphone is at a fevered pitch following reports that the Cupertino-based company has been aggressive in developing the said mobile phone unit.

Apple is working on several iPhone prototypes, including one that features an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen. Sources told The Wall Street Journal that the tech giant has "more than 10" sample models of the said smartphone to review.

It appears that Apple is preparing for a big iPhone launch in 2017. With the said unit's upcoming 10th anniversary, the iPhone 8 may boast of several technological advancements that Apple has yet to introduce to its mobile hand phone product line.

Meanwhile, some of the iPhone 8's speculated features include remote wireless charging, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's research notes, as obtained by MacRumors. Given the said improvement, the upcoming Apple device will be encased in an all-glass body to support wireless charging.

Other Apple smartphone speculations hinted of several iPhone 8 models where one will have an LCD screen, while another will feature an OLED display with dual lens camera, as indicated in the same report. The tech company also has plans to develop and release an iPhone model with a curved OLED screen with a bezel-free design.

Apple is speculated to release the iPhone 8 in June 2017 to commemorate the launch date of the very first iPhone. Learn more about the iPhone 7 in the clip below:
