Many Apple lovers have been eagerly awaiting for the release of the iPhone 8, the tech company's upcoming addition to its smartphone line. With the various Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for iPhone 7 units, anticipation for the next generation phone rose to a fevered pitch.

The Thanksgiving holiday sale gave tech lovers the chance to nab great deals for Apple smartphone devices such as the iPhone 7. Black Friday sale promotions included discounts and inclusions of free gift cards from retailers.

Several retailers even continued some of their special price-off deals for iPhone units as part of its Cyber Monday sale. With the popularity of iPhone 7 devices during the Thanksgiving holiday sale, several Apple fans are now hoping for an earlier release of the new iPhone 8.

Apple has yet to unveil details about the highly anticipated next generation smartphone. Several reports mentioned of a speculated September 2017 release, similar to the launch date of previous units such as the iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 7. However, a few reports hinted of a potential June release which is the launch date of the first Apple iPhone unit.

Given the said smartphone's upcoming 10th anniversary, Apple is expected to pay homage to the iPhone's first generation unit that was released on June 2007. With the many technological advancements in nearly 10 years, the Cupertino-based company is also set to introduce several new features to the iPhone 8.

Some of the speculated features include remote wireless charging at a distance of 15 feet, according to Forbes. Apart from wireless charging, improvements to the smartphone's camera and its lens will also be made.

It appears that Apple designers are looking to introduce 3D photography to the iPhone 8. A tech source told The Korea Economic Daily that the California-based firm is considering to utilize LG Innotek's 3D camera capabilities.

With the LG's 3D camera technology, future iPhone 8 users may be able to enjoy the same photography feature. The source stated, "Since LG Innotek also has its own 3D camera and related technologies, such joint efforts will likely to bear fruit sometime within next year."
