Sunderland managed to win two games in a row to finally put to a stop a 10-game winless start to the season. They were the only remaining winless team after 10 rounds of English top flight competitions at that time.

However, the team's two-game winning run was snapped in their most recent match last Saturday as they fell to powerhouse club Liverpool, 0-2, on the road at the Anfield, as per Daily Mail Online.

Head coach David Moyes' boys were not able to pierce Liverpool's net throughout the match while the Reds scored two goals, courtesy of Belgian forward Divock Origi and English defender James Milner in the 75th and 90th+1 minutes.

With the loss, the Black Cats remained at the bottom of the overall standings, one point below 19th-place squad Swansea City.

Meanwhile, Leicester City continues to struggle with their title-defense campaign after 13 rounds of Premier League matches this season. The team has won only once in their last six outings, putting them at the 14th spot of the current league table, only two points above the bottom three relegation area.

The defending champs were held to a 2-2 draw by newly-promoted side Middlesbrough at their own home field of King Power Stadium also last Saturday, The Sun reported.

Spanish forward Alvaro Negredo opened the scoring for the Boro in the 13th minute before Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez was able to level the count with a penalty kick in the 34th.

The visitors took the lead once again in the 71st minute with Negredo's second goal of the contest.

It looked like Boro will get the upset win over the Foxes when the full-time whistle was blown, but Leicester's substitute striker Islam Slimani found the equalizer with his own penalty kick in stoppage time.
