Middlesbrough, who placed as runners-up in last season's Football League Championship competitions, has won only once in their last six matches resulting in a drop to the 15th spot of the English top flight table, just one point above the bottom three relegation area.

The Boro was impressive in their most recent game, though, as the team held defending champions Leicester City to a 2-2 draw on the road at the King Power Stadium last Saturday, as per The Sun.

Alvaro Negredo was the man of the match for head coach Aitor Karanka's side as the Spanish striker netted a brace to lead the squad.

Negredo opened the scoring in the 13th minute before Leicester midfielder Riyad Mahrez was able to level the count in the 34th with a penalty kick. Negredo then grabbed the lead back to Middlesbrough in the 71st minute.

It looked like a rare win for Middlesbrough, but Leicester striker Islam Slimani was able to find the equalizer in injury time to salvage the tie.

Meanwhile, Hull City, who was promoted to the Premier League from the Championship via playoffs, settled for a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion also last Saturday at their home ground of KCOM Stadium, Sports Mole reported.

West Brom defender Gareth McAuley scored the first goal of the match in the 34th minute as the visitors took a one-point lead at the break.

Head coach Mike Phelan's squad leveled the count in the 72nd minute with a scrappy goal inside the box from team captain Michael Dawson to force the draw and a share of a point in the overall standings.

Hull City has been winless in five of their last six outings, putting them in the bottom three relegation zone with Swansea City and Sunderland after 13 rounds of matches.
